The Night Before Cliffmas

⏤ The challenge.

 

Bundaberg wanted to create a bespoke Christmas Care Package to send to influencers across Australia and New Zealand. Bundaberg Drinks is a family-owned and run business with an iconic Australian product and a true-blue brand story to match. So, we wanted to bring to life the magic, nostalgia and traditions of Christmas and Santa – via Bundaberg founder Cliff Fleming. A Christmas Eve “Cliffy” adventure story - to be enjoyed by all.

⏤ What we did.

 

We developed “The Night Before Cliffmas” gift pack from the nostalgic experience of putting out a treat for Santa and his reindeer the night before Christmas. A beautifully illustrated, original Cliffy storybook is at the heart of the box, telling the tale of how Cliffy saved Christmas with his quick actions.

The package also contained a Stubbie of the iconic Bundaberg Ginger Beer personalised for each recipient, a Bundaberg Ginger Beer Mini Can, a Christmas Cookie (for Santa), a bag of magic Reindeer food, and a beard on a stick for those funny family portraits. Finally, we designed the box to look like a classic fairytale book to connect these elements to Cliffy’s Christmas story.

⏤ Where it went.

 

Sent out to a select group of Australian and New Zealand unpaid influencers. We saw a tonne of coverage across social in engagement and sentiment. With this activity reaching over 1.5M people!

Bundaberg decided to publish another 400+ copies of the book for their staff, family and friends as a Christmas gift on the back of the high social response. But, the most significant impact, of course, was Cliffy’s quick thinking saved Christmas!
